Hotel Paraíso, Albufeira: High-Speed Connectivity with W4M’s GPON Network

The Hotel Paraíso de Albufeira, one of the largest aparthotels in the Iberian Peninsula, is a 4-star tourist resort located in the prime area of Albufeira. To ensure an excellent digital experience for its guests and optimise internal management, the hotel needed a modern, robust and scalable connectivity solution. W4M was responsible for the design and installation of a state-of-the-art GPON network, ensuring high-quality service for the 280 apartments and other areas of the hotel.

Implemented Solution

W4M designed and implemented a GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Network) network infrastructure that offers high performance and reliability. The solution included:

• High Speed and Bandwidth: Ultra-fast connectivity, ideal for streaming content and other data-intensive applications.
• Triple Play Experience: Support for TV, telephone and internet via ONT (Optical Network Terminal), ensuring an integrated and efficient service.
• Internal Structured Network: Fibre optic connections to various areas of the hotel, ensuring robust connectivity in all spaces.
• WiFi for Common Areas:  Efficient wireless coverage in shared areas, providing continuous, uninterrupted service.
• Customised Captive Portal: Authentication system for WiFi network access, where content can be managed, for example, offering services and promotions to guests.
• Separate Networks for Different Uses  Implementation of a secure corporate network for internal hotel services and a dedicated guest network for guests.
